Appearances

The Steyr AUG is an Austrian assault rifle that first appeared in Madness Avenger. Hank operated this rifle to shoot zombie Tricky. The AUG was seen again in the introduction of Madness Apotheosis, but it was never fired in that episode. It made another appearance in Madness Depredation with a laser sight and flashlight attachment, used by Hank and several 1337 agents. It reappeared in Madness Combat 6: Antipathy where it was used in the front car of the train by an agent. In Madness Combat 7.5, it appeared with a darker color and no attachments. The agent wielding it was instantly killed. In Incident: 110A, it appears briefly being held by a A.T.P. soldat with a scope but is swiftly killed by Jesus.

The AUG is also a rifle that appears in all 3 Madness games. In Madness Interactive, the AUG is only single fire and holds a maximum of twenty rounds. It appears in Madness: Project Nexus (Classic) as a usable weapon, with twice the magazine capacity.

In MADNESS: Project Nexus, the AUG returns under the new name of Bullpup Rifle M.7, or BR-7 for short. It is a common assault rifle throughout Story Mode in the hands of enemies or in containers. It can be bought as soon as the player completes The Goods, making it one of the first non-MERC Assault rifles the player can unlock.
